OM Materials (Samalaju) Sdn Bhd
The Group has a 25% equity stake in OM Materials Sarawak and OM Materials Samalaju for the development of a ferrosilicon and manganese alloys smelter in the Samalaju Industrial Park (SIP). The smelter project entails the development of approximately 600,000 MT per year capacity smelter in two phases.
The first phase of the smelter has been commissioned in phases since September 2014 to produce 308,000 MT of ferrosilicon alloys annually. The second phase is expected to produce 300,000 MT of manganese alloys annually. Production is expected to commence by 1H 2016.
Malaysian Phosphate Additives (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd
CMS has joined forces with Malaysian Phosphate Additives (MPA) to build Southeast Asia’s first integrated phosphate complex in Samalaju Industrial Park (SIP), Bintulu. Malaysia Phosphate Additives (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd focuses on the development, construction and commissioning of an integrated phosphate plant that has a rated production capacity of approximately 1.4 million MT a year of phosphate and related products by 2020.
